TTSAutomate provides access to a number of different Text-to-Speech engines. You may select the desired engine and voice using the drop-down boxes on the right of the window:
When a voice is selected, TTSAutomate will announce the name of the voice, using that voice.
You may see a selection available called ‘Microsoft Windows Text To Speech – Local’, this option is available if you have text to speech engines installed in your copy of Windows. If this is available and selected, no internet access is needed to generate the phrases.
